Octopus micropyrsus [Octopus micropyrsus]
Description
Octopus micropyrsus is a smaller, less commonly seen octopus that tends to rely on camouflage and concealment. Divers who find it may notice subtle color shifts and a “freeze-and-watch” behavior from a den, then a sudden jetting escape if approached too closely.
