Net Coral [Alveopora spongiosa]
Description
This species tends to look softer and more cushion-like than some other net corals, with a porous, spongey texture. Underwater, divers may see it as an irregular mound or patchwork on the seafloor, where the intricate surface structure becomes more apparent as you move your light across it.
