Mycedium steeni [Mycedium steeni]
Description
Mycedium steeni is a lettuce-like coral that can form broad, thin patches with a soft, leafy appearance. Divers may observe its many tiny polyps giving the surface a fine, velvety texture. When the water moves, the coral’s thin growth can look like it’s gently breathing with the current.
