Moseley’s Flabellum [Flabellum (Ulocyathus) moseleyi]

Moseley’s Flabellum
Description

This flabellum grows as small, fan-shaped or cup-like colonies that can look like miniature architectural structures on the reef. Divers may notice it tucked into sheltered areas, where its pale, branching surfaces contrast with surrounding rock and sand. With patience, you can sometimes see subtle changes in the colony’s appearance as polyps respond to light and current.
