Description
Monticellina spongiophila is a marine species in the family Placospongiidae. They are known to inhabit waters with depths of 30 to 800 meters. The species is characterized by its unique symbiotic relationship with sponges, from which it derives its name 'spongiophila'. These organisms are found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
