Merulina triangularis [Merulina triangularis]
Description
As its name suggests, this coral often forms angular, triangular-looking sections within an encrusting growth pattern. Divers may see it as a patchwork of geometric shapes, especially when the reef is lit from the side and the ridges cast small shadows.
