Mawia benovici [Mawia benovici]
Description
This species is typically seen as a delicate, translucent jellyfish that drifts with the currents, sometimes appearing more noticeable in plankton-rich waters. Divers may encounter it as a small, graceful silhouette against the blue, especially when visibility is good and the water is calm. Encounters are often brief, as it’s a pelagic animal that doesn’t linger near the seafloor.
