Description
The Mauve Stinger is a small species of box jellyfish found in the Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and the western Pacific Ocean. Its sting can cause mild to severe skin irritation. The Mauve Stinger is typically 5 cm in diameter with four tentacles, and is pink to purple in color.
