Loyae Blastomussa [Blastomussa loyae]
Description
Blastomussa loyae typically forms compact, cup-like or mound-shaped colonies that stand out as small architectural features on the reef. When polyps extend, divers can notice a more detailed, “speckled” surface as the coral actively feeds, adding depth and movement to otherwise still reef scenes.
