Long-Nose Dragonfish [Stomias longibarbatus]
Description
The Long-Nose Dragonfish is a deep-sea species, usually found at depths of 200 to 1000 meters. Distinguished by its elongated snout and chin barbel, this species uses bioluminescent photophores to attract prey. It is a small fish, typically growing to only about 20 cm in length.
