Lobed Cactus Coral [Lobophyllia flabelliformis]
Description
L. flabelliformis often forms lobes that fan outward, creating a distinctive, cactus-like silhouette on the reef. Divers may spot small, rounded bumps and valleys between lobes, with polyps that can become more noticeable when conditions are right. Its shape and texture make it a favorite for close-up reef photography.
