Lobed Cactus Coral [Lobophyllia diminuta]
Description
This smaller Lobophyllia grows in rounded, lobed mounds that can resemble miniature cactus pads. Divers may see a mix of smooth and slightly ridged surfaces, with polyps that can give the coral a subtle, living “speckled” appearance. It’s typically a calm, low-profile reef resident that rewards careful observation.
