Lepidochitona cinerea [Leptochiton cinereus]
Description
Lepidochitona cinerea is a species of chiton from the North-East Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. It is commonly found on rocky shores, around the middle tide level. Its shell is divided into eight overlapping plates, with a greyish-brown color. It feeds mainly on algae.
