Leaf Coral [Pavona gigantea]
Description
As its name suggests, Pavona gigantea can grow into larger, more substantial leaf-like structures than many relatives. Divers may encounter broad, plate-forming colonies that create shade and microhabitats just beneath their edges. Its size and solid growth make it a memorable reef feature, especially when viewed from a few meters away.
