Laciniate Flabellum [Flabellum laciniatum]
Description
Laciniate Flabellum stands out with its frilly, lobed edges, giving the colony a more dramatic, “torn” or lace-like outline. Divers commonly see it attached to reef substrate in areas with enough flow to bring food particles within reach. When conditions are right, its polyps may extend slightly, adding a subtle living texture to the otherwise sculptural form.
