Kanga Split-tooth Dorid [Hypselodoris kanga]
Description
Divers may spot this dorid nudibranch as a colorful, low-slung sea slug cruising along rocky or reef habitats. Its striking patterning and smooth, velvety look make it a rewarding find—especially when it pauses to graze on the seafloor. Look closely at the edges of its body for the distinctive “split-tooth” look that gives it its common name.
