Japanese tongue sole [Paraplagusia japonica]
Description
A species of fish in the family Cynoglossidae, the tonguefishes. It is native to the northwestern Pacific Ocean, where it occurs along the coasts of Japan and Korea. It is a demersal fish, living on the bottom of the ocean. It is a left-eyed flatfish with a maximum length of 30 cm. It feeds on small invertebrates.
