Japanese sea pig [Liolophura japonica]
Description
The Japanese sea pig is a species of sea cucumber found in the Pacific Ocean, particularly off the coast of Japan. It is known for its elongated, pinkish body covered with cylindrical papillae, which give it a 'hairy' appearance. It lives on sandy or muddy seafloors at depths up to 1000 meters, and feeds on detritus and small organisms.
