Ivory Stony Coral [Flabellum (Ulocyathus) alabastrum]
Description
Divers often spot this coral as a pale, creamy “fan” or plate-like form that can look almost carved from ivory. In clear water, its delicate texture and subtle ridges catch the light, and it may appear partially shaded in crevices or on sloping reef surfaces.
