Hump Coral [Porites attenuata]
Description
Divers often spot Porites attenuata as rounded, dome-like mounds with a bumpy, pebbly surface. In clear water, the coral’s small, tightly packed polyps can look like a textured “grain” across the hump, and the colony may host tiny reef fish and invertebrates in its crevices.
