Hump Coral [Porites alveolata]
Description
Divers may recognize Porites alveolata by its honeycomb-like or closely packed surface pattern, which gives the colony a textured, alveolar look. When viewed up close, the fine details of its surface can be surprisingly crisp, especially in bright, shallow reef settings.
