Hicksonella guishanensis [Hicksonella guishanensis]
Description
This species of soft coral tends to form low, spreading growths that divers can easily overlook until they get close. Underwater, it often presents as a fleshy, textured patch on the seafloor, adding color and structure to otherwise bare rock. With gentle current, the colony can move slightly, giving it a living, dynamic look.
