Hawaiian Monk Seal [Neomonachus schauinslandi]
Description
The Hawaiian Monk Seal is an endangered species native to the Hawaiian Islands. It has a grey coat, white belly, and slender physique, with males reaching lengths of 210 cm and females 230 cm. This species is solitary and prefers sandy beaches for haul-out and breeding sites. They feed on a variety of sea creatures including fish, squid, and crustaceans.
