Hawaiian Lionfish [Pterois sphex]
Description
The Hawaiian Lionfish is a species of the scorpionfish family known from only a few specimens collected in the Hawaiian Islands and Johnston Island. They inhabit deep slopes and scuba depths. They have a reddish color, long pectoral fins, and a mostly clear, spotted dorsal fin.
