Hairy Seadevil [Linophryne bicornis]
Description
The hairy seadevil is a deep-sea anglerfish found in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Females can be identified by a lure filled with bacteria that glows in the dark, used to attract prey in the deep, dark waters. They also have two large fangs and a body covered in hair-like filaments. Unlike the females, males are minute and lead a parasitic life attached to the females.
