Green Finger Sponge [Iotrochota birotulata]
Description
The Green Finger Sponge is a dark green, almost black, sponge with a velvety surface and finger-like projections. It is commonly found in the Caribbean and western Atlantic. It is a filter feeder and tends to grow on vertical walls and under overhangs to access better water flow.
