Golf Tee Medusa [Aegina citrea]

Golf Tee Medusa
Description

This delicate, translucent medusa often looks like a tiny “golf tee” rising from the seafloor or drifting just above it. Divers may spot its pale yellow-green tones and trailing tentacles as it gently sways in the current, usually at shallow-to-moderate depths where plankton and small prey are abundant.
