Gloomy Octopus [Octopus tetricus]
Description
Often seen tucked into rocky crevices or under ledges, the Gloomy Octopus is a master of camouflage, blending into mottled rock and sand. Divers may spot it slowly emerging to investigate passing bubbles and shadows, then retreating quickly when the scene feels too exposed.
