Galapagos Sea Lion [Zalophus wollebaeki]
Description
Galapagos sea lions are frequent, charismatic visitors in the water, often cruising along the surface before diving to hunt. Divers may see them weaving through currents with quick bursts of speed, then pausing to inspect the scene with bright, expressive eyes. Their social nature means you might spot multiple individuals together, especially around rocky outcrops and feeding areas.
