Flabellum campanulatum [Flabellum (Flabellum) campanulatum]

Flabellum campanulatum
Description

Divers often notice this species as a fan- or bell-shaped flabellum coral with a delicate, layered look. It typically grows in a low, spreading form, and when the water moves, the polyps can appear to subtly “breathe” with the current. In good visibility, the contrast between its pale skeleton and living tissue makes it a satisfying subject for close-up viewing.
