Favites magnistellata [Favites magnistellata]
Description
Divers often notice this coral as a sturdy, boulder-like structure with a tight, maze of small corallites. Up close, the surface can look subtly “starry” or patterned, and it’s common to see small reef fish and invertebrates using the nooks for shelter.
