False Flower Coral [Anacropora spumosa]
Description
Anacropora spumosa often forms airy, branching growth that can resemble frothy clusters—hence the “false flower” look. Divers may notice it as a textured, lace-like coral that adds complexity to reef scenery. When light hits the colony at an angle, the fine branches and surface details become especially noticeable.
