Eudendrium eximium [Eudendrium eximium]

Description

Divers may encounter Eudendrium eximium as a more striking hydroid colony with well-developed branching and a noticeable presence on the substrate. The colony’s fine stems and small polyps create a delicate, tree-like silhouette that stands out against rock or seabed features. With patience, you can often see the colony’s feeding polyps subtly extend and retract as water flow brings food.
