Eudendrium boreale [Eudendrium boreale]

Description

Eudendrium boreale is a hydroid that divers may encounter on rocky bottoms, where it grows as branching stems that resemble miniature sea twigs. In calm conditions, the colony’s delicate form stands out against the substrate, and the polyps can make it look slightly “fuzzy” up close.
