Etmopterus caudistigmus [Etmopterus caudistigmus]
Description
Often encountered on deeper dives, this small deep-sea shark is a stealthy, dark silhouette against the dim blue. Divers may notice its compact body and subtle fin shape as it glides slowly along the seafloor or midwater, sometimes hovering as if “studying” the surroundings.
