Description
The Eastern Wedge Trough Shell, or Mactra orientalis, is a bivalve mollusc found in the coastal areas of Eastern Asia. It inhabits sandy bottoms in shallow waters. The species has a shell that is typically pale yellow or cream-colored, and can grow up to 4.5 cm long. As filter feeders, they feed on plankton and other small particles in the water.
