Discosoma viridescens [Discosoma viridescens]
Description
This greenish disc anemone is a soft-coral relative that often looks like a flat, cushion-like patch on the reef. Divers may notice it gently pulsing and slowly expanding or contracting as it feeds, with tentacles tucked in when conditions are calm or when it’s disturbed.
