Discosoma nummiforme [Discosoma nummiforme]
Description
As its name suggests, this corallimorph often forms rounded, coin-like discs that sit firmly on the seafloor. Divers commonly spot it as a compact, fleshy patch that can look almost like a small, living cushion. With its ability to expand and contract, it can shift from subtle to very eye-catching as you approach.
