Discosoma fungiforme [Discosoma fungiforme]

Description

This species often resembles a small, fleshy “mushroom” or disk on the seafloor, with tentacles that can be more apparent when it’s actively feeding. Divers may find it in sheltered areas where it can stay attached and stable, using its tentacles to capture tiny particles drifting by.
