Description
Deepwater Cardiidae or Lithocardium rupestre is a marine bivalve species in the family Cardiidae. It is known from submarine ridges and underwater mountains in the Atlantic Ocean. This species has a robust, heart-shaped shell with strong radial ribs and deep interspaces. It is a deep-water species, typically found in depths of 800 to 1500 meters.
