David Harp [Harpa davidis]
Description
The David Harp is a sea snail species identified by its highly glossy, robust shell which can reach up to 13 cm in length. The shell is marked with vertical brownish-red bars on a lighter background, giving it a harp-like appearance. This species is found in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, from East Africa to Hawaii. It is a carnivorous species, preying on bottom-dwelling bivalves and gastropods.
