Cusk Eel [Ariosoma balearicum]
Description
This species can reach a maximum length of 150 cm. They inhabit muddy bottoms of the continental shelf and slope, from 100 to 1000 meters depth. They are characterized by a slender, elongated body with a white belly and a dark back, and have large eyes.
