Coryne sargassicola [Coryne sargassicola]
Description
As the name suggests, this hydroid is often associated with floating or drifting habitats, such as sargassum-like environments. Divers may spot it as small, clustered growths on the surface of drifting material, where the polyps can extend to feed when currents bring prey close.
