Common Rose Coral [Manicina areolata]
Description
Common Rose Coral is a striking, plate-like or mound-forming coral with a maze of small, rounded openings that resemble a delicate rose pattern. Divers are often drawn to its warm, inviting appearance—especially when it’s partially lit and the tiny structures cast fine shadows. It’s a great coral to slow down for, since the surface details become more obvious the longer you look.
