Common Atlantic Octopus [Octopus vulgaris]
Description
This adaptable octopus is a master of camouflage, changing texture and color to blend into rocky bottoms and seagrass areas. Divers may see it perched near a den, watching quietly with large eyes before it jets away in a sudden burst if approached.
