Chromodoris lentiginosa [Chromodoris lentiginosa]
Description
Divers may recognize this species by its striking, speckled or spotted appearance that gives it a “freckled” look. It’s commonly encountered on reef slopes and rocky habitats where it can be found near the types of sponges it feeds on. Watch for it slowly gliding along the substrate—its colors are often even more vivid in good light.
