Chilean Bittersweet [Solanum crispum]
Description
A species of nightshade that is native to Chile and Peru. This species is a climbing plant with a woody stem, often growing to 4 meters (13 ft) or more in height. It has ovate leaves and clusters of violet-blue, star-shaped flowers that bloom in summer. The fruit is a round berry, initially green, but becomes yellow and then red as it matures.
