Cauliflower Coral [Pocillopora favosa]
Description
Pocillopora favosa is known for its distinctive, honeycomb-like texture formed by closely packed corallites. Divers often recognize it by the patterned surface that looks almost “carved” with repeating small chambers. It’s a great example of how reef-building corals create complex architecture that supports a whole community of reef life.
