Cauliflower Coral [Pocillopora damicornis]
Description
This species typically forms branching colonies that can resemble a delicate, underwater thicket. Divers may notice the small, rounded branch ends and the way the colony creates shade and microhabitats for tiny reef creatures. Depending on conditions, polyps can be more noticeable when the coral is actively feeding.
