Cauliflower Coral [Pocillopora capitata]

Cauliflower Coral
Description

Divers often spot this coral as rounded, cauliflower-like clusters with lots of small branches and tips. In clear water, the colony can look especially crisp and textured, with polyps that may extend to give a slightly “fuzzy” look. It’s a common reef-building coral in many Indo-Pacific dive sites.
